PUBLIC NOTICE |
|
Inviting
comments / suggestions on the draft Schedule of Charges
payable by the consumers
of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited
|

Under
Section 181 and other provisions of the Electricity Act, 2003, the
Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) has notified
MERC (Supply Code and other Conditions of Supply) Regulations, 2004.
Regulation 18.1 of the Supply Code provides submission of Schedule
of Charges within one month from the date of Notification of the Regulations.
Further, the Commission after examining the same (a) shall issue an
Order granting its approval thereon, or (b) reject the schedule of
charges filed, for reasons to be recorded in writing. |

Accordingly,
in pursuance of the Regulation 18.1 of the Supply Code, Maharashtra
State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) have submitted
their draft Schedule of Charges payable by the consumers for approval.

Copies
of the Public Document containing MSEDCL's
proposal and comments
of Commission's consultant (SICOM) can be obtained
free of cost (in person or by post) on written request from the Tariff
Regulatory Cell, MSEDCL, 5th floor, Prakashgad, Bandra (East), Mumbai
400 051 or from any of the Executive Engineers in charge of the Operation
& Maintenance Divisions and Urban Divisions of MSEDCL from 27th
January, 2006. The proposal will also be available on the MSEDCL's
website (www.mahadiscom.com.) in downloadable format. Public Document
can also be obtained from the office of the Commission, and is also
available in downloadable format from its website www.mercindia.org.in. |

Comments
and suggestions (in Marathi or English) on MSEDCL's proposal may be
sent to the Secretary of the Commission, 13th floor, Centre No.1,
World Trade Centre, Cuffe Parade, Mumbai 400 005, by 23rd February,
2006, either |

In writing to be sent by post
/ fax or delivered in person. |

Through e-mail |
|
·
|
Both in writing and orally during
the public hearing. It should be mentioned if the sender wishes to
be heard in person by the Commission. |

The submission
should carry the full name and postal or e-mail address of the sender.
It should be indicated whether the comments/suggestions are being
made on behalf of an organisation or category of consumers. |

A copy
of such written submission shall be endorsed to the Tariff Regulatory
Cell, MSEDCL, 5th floor, Prakashgad, Bandra (East), Mumbai 400 051.
An opportunity would be given to each of such objectors / senders
wishing to be heard in person at the Public Hearings scheduled
on 28th February, 2006 at 11.00 hours at VISTA Hall, 30th floor,
Centre No1. World Trade Centre, Cuffe Parade, Mumbai 400 005,
for which no separate notice would be given.
